Description
The Borla ATAK Cat-Back System, part number 140839CF (Summit Racing part number BOR-140839CF; UPC 808422908399), was developed for the C8 Corvette. It combines Borla’s aggressive ATAK sound level with a design intended to deliver an exciting exhaust note without drone.
The system uses Borla Polyphonic Harmonizer technology, which combines pipes of different diameters and lengths to create multiple harmonized exhaust notes. Its patented SwitchFire design eliminates the turbulent center intersection found in a standard X-pipe and blends combustion pulses from both sides of the engine. Included heat shielding helps protect the Corvette from exhaust heat.

- Catalytic converters are not included
After installation, the AFM and NPP exhaust-valve controllers should be recalibrated according to GM Document ID 5406413. Borla recommends having this service performed at a Chevrolet dealer. Sold as a kit; this is not a remanufactured system.
