Chevrolet Performance 454 HO Short Block / Partial Engine — 19433375
This is a 454-cubic-inch Chevrolet Performance partial engine, not a complete ready-to-run engine. GM’s 19433375 specification and instruction sheet describes a 4.25 × 4.00-inch-bore-and-stroke big-block with a cast-iron block, four-bolt main caps, forged-steel crankshaft and connecting rods, forged-aluminum pistons, one-piece rear main seal and a 6-quart oil pan.
Catalog package and completion parts
GM lists the assembly with a balancer, oil pan, flexplate and front cover. It is not supplied with a camshaft, lifters, timing chain or cam sprocket. Cylinder heads, valvetrain/cam components, intake, carburetor and ignition components are among the items needed to complete an engine; the exact parts required depend on the build. GM lists a 5,500 RPM maximum engine speed.
The catalog configuration includes an externally balanced automatic-transmission flexplate.
