Description
The VEGE DFAR remanufactured long block crate engine is a 4.6L/281 cu. in. Ford Modular engine, assembled with an aluminum cylinder head and cast-iron block. It has a single overhead cam (SOHC), internal balance, and a one-piece rear main seal. The engine is remanufactured and sold individually.
VEGE describes this long block as a foundation for budget-minded builds and a replacement for a range of stock vehicles. Each engine is reverse-engineered to address original defects, then reconditioned by technicians to factory specifications. Wearable parts are replaced or machined to OE standards, and the engines are tested and calibrated.
