Description
The VEGE DFAR is a remanufactured 4.6L/281 Ford Modular long block crate engine, sold individually. It is assembled with an internal balance, SOHC cam style, and a one-piece rear main seal. The engine block is cast iron, and the cylinder heads are aluminum.
VEGE describes its remanufacturing process as reverse-engineering engines to address original defects, then having technicians recondition long blocks to factory specifications. Wearable parts are replaced or machined to OE standards, and the engines are tested and calibrated.
Included: cylinder heads, oil pan, timing cover, oil pump, and gasket.
