The Wilwood TC6R Big Brake Truck Front Brake Kit (manufacturer part number 140-8992-DR; Summit Racing part number WIL-140-8992-DR) is a front-only brake kit for models with six-lug fitment and factory cast iron or aluminum spindles. The kit is sold as a set and is not remanufactured.
It includes a pair of front rotors with vented construction and cross-drilled/slotted surfaces. Each rotor measures 16.00 inches (406.40 mm) in diameter and 1.38 inches thick, with a 6 x 5.50-inch (6 x 139.70 mm) bolt pattern. The front calipers are red, forged billet aluminum units with six thick-walled stainless-steel pistons.
Front brake pads are included and use Wilwood BP-10 friction material. The TC6R caliper design is described as providing clamping efficiency, while the pad compound is intended for responsive braking and fade resistance. The kit’s rotor-and-caliper combination is designed for trucks or SUVs; a minimum recommended wheel diameter of 20 inches applies.
