The Currie 60 Crate Axle Assembly (manufacturer part number CE-KR6100E48; Summit Racing part number CUR-CEKR6100E48) is a black, bolt-in axle package configured with a 4.88:1 ring and pinion. Currie’s 60 crate axles are designed for severe off-road use, V8 horsepower and tires up to 37 inches tall.
Currie’s design features a high-pinion nodular iron center section with a radius bottom to help slide over obstacles, plus heavy-duty 3-inch tubes. The crate axle lineup is offered for front and rear applications and is described as a direct bolt-in package. Its axle width is increased to 68.75 inches between wheel-mounting surfaces for clearance with larger tires.
