Description
The VEGE 401C is an assembled, remanufactured long block crate engine with an actual displacement of 1.0L (993cc). It is sold individually and intended as a foundation for a replacement or engine build; confirm that this is the VEGE engine recommended for your vehicle before ordering.
VEGE describes its remanufacturing process as reverse-engineering the engine to address original defects, then reconditioning the long block to factory specifications. Wearable parts are replaced or machined to OE standards, and the engines are tested and calibrated.
This engine includes cylinder heads and a water pump. The oil pump and gasket are also included. The following components are not included:
- Intake manifold, carburetor, throttle body, or distributor
- Oil pan, valve covers, or timing cover
- Harmonic balancer, flexplate, or flywheel
- Air cleaner, spark plugs, or spark plug wires
- Computer, wiring harness, or supercharger
