Description
The VEGE 828A is a remanufactured 2.0L (1,998cc) long-block crate engine, sold individually. It is listed for 1986–1988 Toyota Celica GT-S models with a naturally aspirated, 16-valve DOHC Toyota inline-four, fuel injection, and gasoline fuel. The application specifies engine VIN code S, Toyota 3S block casting, and 3SGE cylinder-head casting.
VEGE states that its long blocks are reverse-engineered to address original defects, then reconditioned by technicians to factory specifications. Wearable parts are replaced or machined to OE standards, and the engines are tested and calibrated. The 828A includes cylinder heads and a water pump, as well as an oil pump and gasket. The following components are not included:

Application notes specify external EGR from the exhaust manifold to the intake; if the vehicle has internal EGR, use VEGE 828 instead.
