The VEGE DDE9 is a remanufactured, assembled long block crate engine with an actual displacement of 2.4L/148. Cylinder heads and a water pump are included, along with an oil pump and gasket. It is sold individually.
VEGE describes its remanufacturing process as reverse-engineering the engine to address original defects, then having technicians recondition the long block to factory specifications. Wearable parts are replaced or machined to OE standards, and the engine is tested and calibrated.
