The Wilwood Superlite 4R rear drum-to-disc brake kit, part number 140-17543-D (Summit Racing part number WIL-140-17543-D), converts the rear drum brakes to disc brakes on select Chevy and GMC trucks and SUVs. This configuration is for GM 8.5- or 9.5-inch differential cases and uses a 14.00-inch rear rotor.
The vented, cross-drilled and slotted Spec37 two-piece rotors measure 14.00 x 1.10 inches (355.60 mm diameter) and feature 72 curved vanes. The kit includes black forged-billet Superlite four-piston rear calipers and BP-10 street-performance pads, designed for smooth, consistent response and long wear across a broad temperature range.
An internal-drum parking brake assembly retains a parking brake provision.
