Description
The Wilwood TX6R Big Brake Front Brake Kit (part number 140-13867-C; Summit Racing part number WIL-140-13867-C) is a front-axle disc brake kit with six-piston TX6R calipers and included front rotors. It is sold as a kit and is not remanufactured.
The kit includes 16.00-inch (406.40 mm) front rotors with a 1.50-inch thickness. The rotors are vented and have a slotted surface. Wilwood describes the TX6R kit family as using directional-vane GT-60 rotors made from Spec-37 alloy; the listed configuration specifies a 16-inch rotor.
Each front caliper has six pistons and is made from forged billet aluminum, with a gray/silver finish. BP-10 brake pads are included. The kit also includes radial-mount caliper brackets and installation hardware. Wilwood says the calipers are volume matched for compatibility with OE power brake system output.
