The VEGE 617H is a remanufactured, assembled long-block crate engine with an actual displacement of 1.8L (1,839cc). It is sold individually and includes cylinder heads, a water pump, an oil pump, and a gasket.
VEGE describes its remanufacturing process as reverse-engineering the engine to address original defects, then having technicians recondition the long block to factory specifications. Wearable parts are replaced or machined to OE standards, and the engines are tested and calibrated.
This long block is supplied without the following components:
