The VEGE DFTE remanufactured long block crate engine is a 5.4L/330ci Ford Modular engine, assembled with an aluminum cylinder head and cast-iron block. It is internally balanced and uses a SOHC camshaft configuration, a one-piece rear main seal, and is sold individually.
VEGE says its long blocks are reverse-engineered to address original defects, then reconditioned by technicians to factory specifications. Wearable parts are replaced or machined to OE standards, and engines are tested and calibrated.
