The VEGE VD58 remanufactured long block crate engine is a 5.2L/318 assembly intended as a foundation for budget-minded builds or as a replacement for applicable stock vehicles. VEGE describes its remanufactured long blocks as suitable for a range of stock vehicles, with additional applications possible through retrofitting. This assembled engine is reverse-engineered to address original defects. VEGE technicians recondition the long block to factory specifications, replacing wearable parts or machining them to OE standards. The engine is tested and calibrated as part of the remanufacturing process.
