Description
The Wilwood AERO4 Big Brake Rear Brake Kit (manufacturer part number 140-10941-DR; Summit Racing part number WIL-140-10941-DR) is a rear disc brake kit for specified GM truck axle applications. It is designed for a GM 8.5- or 8.875-inch (12-bolt) differential case with a large C10 axle housing flange measuring 3.396 x 2.65 inches. For 5-lug applications only; match the kit to your axle and wheel bolt pattern before ordering.
The kit includes a 14.00-inch (355.60 mm) vented rear rotor, 1.10 inches thick, with a cross-drilled and slotted surface. Its four-piston rear caliper is made from forged billet aluminum and finished in red. BP-10 brake pads are included.
An internal-drum parking brake provision is built into the rear assembly, providing a parking brake while keeping the shoe mechanism concealed. The kit is intended to complement a front big-brake upgrade; a front rotor or front caliper is not included.
- Rotor bolt patterns: 5 x 4.50, 5 x 4.75, or 5 x 5.00 inches; equivalent patterns are 5 x 114.30, 5 x 120.65, or 5 x 127.00 mm.
- Offset: 2.420 inches.
