Description
The Wilwood Forged Superlite 4R Big Brake Front Disc Brake Kit (manufacturer part number 140-12508; Summit Racing part number WIL-140-12508; UPC 889545016697) is a front brake upgrade designed with competitive road racing in mind. The kit is suited to production racing categories that permit brake upgrades while limiting systems to four-piston calipers and 12.20-inch rotors.
Its forged billet aluminum Superlite 4R calipers have four pistons and a gray/silver finish. Thermlock pistons are designed to reduce heat transfer from the pads into the caliper, helping resist brake fade and extend component life. The included front rotors are vented, slotted, two-piece GT Series rotors with aluminum hats and directional vanes, designed to aid cooling and durability.
