Zumbrota’s remanufacturing process includes inspections before, during, and after the build. The initial inspection checks for case cracks, excessive wear, and other OEM-related problems; component parts are checked against OEM specifications during remanufacturing; and a final inspection checks the completed unit against the company’s standards.
Internal parts receive a full inspection, including gear-wear checks, a main-shaft straightness test, and synchronizer testing. Seals, bearings, and other common wear components are replaced. Housings and top covers are cleaned using a hydro-blasting and rinsing process intended to restore an OEM-style finish. Units are shipped in high-density plastic totes to help reduce damage in transit.
