Description
The Zumbrota Remanufactured Manual Transmission (part number RMTNSG370-4) is a six-speed unit with an aluminum case. A bellhousing is included; a yoke and shifter are not. It is sold individually.
Zumbrota’s remanufacturing process includes inspections before, during, and after the build. The initial inspection checks for case cracks, excessive wear, and other OEM-related issues. During remanufacturing, components are checked against OEM specifications, followed by a final inspection against Zumbrota’s build standards.
- Internal parts are inspected, including gear wear checks, main shaft straightness testing, and synchronizer testing.
- Seals, bearings, and other common wear components are replaced.
- Housings and top covers are cleaned using a hydro-blasting and rinsing process to restore an OEM finish.
- The transmission is shipped in a high-density plastic tote intended to help prevent damage in transit.
