Description
The Zumbrota Remanufactured Manual Transmission RMTS5-42-10 is a 5-speed unit with an aluminum case and a first-gear ratio of 5.72:1. A bellhousing and PTO covers are included. The yoke and shifter are not included.
Zumbrota’s remanufacturing process includes inspections before, during, and after the rebuild. The unit is checked for case cracks, excessive wear, and other issues; component parts are inspected against OEM specifications; and the completed transmission receives a final inspection.
- Internal parts receive a 100% inspection, including gear-wear checks, a main-shaft straightness test, and synchronizer testing.
- Seals, bearings, and other common wear components are replaced.
- Housing and top covers are cleaned using a hydro-blasting and rinsing process.
