Description
The Zumbrota RMTS5-47M-1 is a remanufactured 5-speed manual transmission with an aluminum case and a 5.72:1 first-gear ratio. A bellhousing is included; a yoke and shifter are not. This unit uses a non-bushing shifter stub design, and the shifter stub itself is not included.
Zumbrota checks the transmission at multiple stages of the remanufacturing process. The case is inspected for cracks, excessive wear, and other issues, while a second inspection checks components against OEM specifications. A final post-build inspection is also performed.
Internal parts receive a 100% inspection, including gear-wear checks, a main-shaft straightness test, and synchronizer testing. Seals, bearings, and other common wear components are replaced. The housing and top cover are cleaned using a hydro-blasting and rinsing process.
