Description
The Zumbrota Remanufactured Manual Transmission (part number RMTS5-42-1) is a remanufactured 5-speed unit with an aluminum case and a 5.72:1 first gear ratio. Please have your vehicle identification number (VIN) ready when ordering so the application can be checked.
This transmission includes a bellhousing and PTO covers. A yoke and shifter are not included. It has a 7-tooth speedometer gear and is sold individually.
Zumbrota’s remanufacturing process includes inspections before, during, and after the rebuild. The case is checked for cracks and excessive wear, and component parts are inspected against OEM specifications. Internal parts receive checks for gear wear, mainshaft straightness, and synchronizer condition.
Seals, bearings, and other common wear components are replaced. The housing and top covers are cleaned using a hydro-blasting and rinsing process intended to restore the OEM finish. The finished unit receives a post-build inspection.
