Description
The Zumbrota Remanufactured Manual Transmission, part number RMT4500C-13, is a five-speed unit with a cast-iron case. It is remanufactured and sold individually. Have your vehicle identification number (VIN) ready when ordering.
This transmission is inspected at multiple stages of the remanufacturing process. The initial inspection checks for case cracks, excessive wear, and other issues associated with the original equipment. During rebuilding, components are checked against OEM specifications, followed by a final inspection to verify the completed unit meets Zumbrota’s standards.
- Internal parts are inspected, including gear wear checks, main shaft straightness testing, and synchronizer testing.
- Seals, bearings, and other common wear components are replaced.
- Housing and top covers are cleaned using a hydro-blasting and rinsing process to restore an OEM-style finish.
- The unit is shipped in a high-density plastic tote intended to help reduce damage in transit.
