The Zumbrota Remanufactured Manual Transmission (part number RMT4500C-1) is a remanufactured 5-speed unit with a cast-iron case. It is sold individually. Have your vehicle identification number (VIN) ready when ordering so the application can be checked.
This transmission does not include a bellhousing, yoke, or shifter. Confirm the required components and vehicle fitment before purchase.
Zumbrota’s remanufacturing process includes inspections before, during, and after the build. The case is checked for cracks, excessive wear, and other issues; components are inspected against OEM specifications; and the completed unit receives a final inspection.
- Internal parts are inspected, including gear-wear checks, main-shaft straightness testing, and synchronizer testing.
- Seals, bearings, and other common wear components are replaced.
- Housings and top covers are cleaned using a hydro-blasting and rinsing process intended to restore an OEM-style finish.
- The transmission is shipped in a high-density plastic tote to help protect it during transit.
