Description
The Zumbrota Remanufactured Manual Transmission RMTS5-42-16-P is a five-speed unit with an aluminum case and a 5.73:1 first-gear ratio. The bellhousing is included; the yoke and shifter are not. This transmission has an electric speedometer and is noted for PTO applications.
Zumbrota’s remanufacturing process includes inspections before, during, and after the rebuild. The case is checked for cracks and excessive wear, and internal parts receive inspection that includes gear-wear checks, a main-shaft straightness test, and synchronizer testing. Seals, bearings, and other common wear components are replaced.
Housing and top covers are cleaned using a hydro-blasting and rinsing process. The completed unit is shipped in a high-density plastic tote intended to help reduce in-transit damage.
