Description
The Zumbrota Remanufactured Manual Transmission RMTS5-42-3 is a five-speed unit with an aluminum case and a 5.72:1 first-gear ratio. A bellhousing is included; a yoke and shifter are not. The transmission is sold individually and features a 7-tooth speedometer gear.
Zumbrota’s remanufacturing process includes inspections before, during, and after rebuilding. The case is checked for cracks and excessive wear, while internal parts are inspected for gear wear, main-shaft straightness, and synchronizer condition. Seals, bearings, and other common wear components are replaced, and components are checked against OEM specifications.
Housing and top covers are cleaned using a hydro-blasting and rinsing process. The finished unit is shipped in a high-density plastic tote intended to help reduce in-transit damage.
